School Activities

Activities
Throughout the year, students at ISCS are given opportunities to participate in an extensive Extra-Curricular Activities programme that enables them to develop talents and skills in different areas, such as sports, Arts & Crafts, languages, debates clubs, etc.
In addition, ISCS organises every year major events that reflect the ethos and mission of the school such as the Charity Bazaar and the Knowledge Fair.
Charity Bazaar
The school’s Charity Bazaar is an annual event which is supported by various corporate patrons and which raises additional funds from the goodwill of concerned citizens. Every year, the school assists one or two humanitarian organisations which benefit from the proceeds of the Charity Bazaar. The annual event was conceptualised by the school as an initiative which raises awareness of people in need.

Knowledge Fair
In order to challenge our pupils to apply the knowledge they acquire, the school organises the Knowledge Fair which offers our students experiences in exploring beyond the classroom. Research areas generally include life science, environmental and earth science, physical science, social science, computer and mathematics and behavioural science. Students are required to use multi disciplines in their research and use different methods to present their findings. Their projects are judged by a qualified panel of specialists in a broad range of fields.
Qur’an Competition
The school holds an annual Qur’an Competition to promote Qur’an memorisation and recitation (Tajweed). Year 4 to Year 13 students can enter in one of the following levels:

* level One : the entire Qur’an
* Level Two : 20 Consecutive JUZU’
* Level Three : 10 Consecutive JUZU’
* Level Four : 5 Consecutive JUZU’

The winners, of various nationalities, are selected by reciting to a board of experts and are awarded cash prizes and school scholarships. The annual competition is one of the school’s initiatives to nurture Islamic values in its students right from KG.
